Please feel free to add more learning focused websites.
*There are a lot more learning websites out there, but I picked the ones that are, as far as I’m aware, completely free and in my opinion the best/ more useful.
It is also a great idea to check your local library. More and more libraries are offering more resources to the public they serve. My local branch system offers online language software through mango and powerspeak for free, as well as internet courses for everything from aroma therapy to business mathematics. And on top of the books they have available many are adding eBooks and audio-books online and access to databases and sites like consumer reports for free just for having a library card.

im having a hard time thinking of poses to draw????? cn you help maybe>???????/
UMM for me it’s easier to come up with poses if I think of my character as doing an ACTION not a pose idk if that makes sense?
So instead of thinking of a fixed pose, I think of an action that my char could be doing e.g eating a piece of pie
it’s easier for me to visualize a pose if there’s some context YEAH
ALSO I like to draw sequences? of a certain action, and then pick the one I like best e.g. if my OC is reading
1) Standard pose > 2 & 3 poses that might follow after if this is moving
or if they’re frying an egg
I don’t draw it out in full all the time ofc, sometimes I just draw like really sketchy sequences yeah idk if that makes sense, but it helps me figure out poses besides the most obvious one!
WHEN YOU DON”T KNOW where to put the hands always go back to WHAT WOULD YOU DO if you’re doing this particular action?? And if all things fail, you can always go to sites like pixelovely for poses
pretty awesome advice!!
How do you make the flowers for the flower crown? like specifically what material is it? Its super cool and I want to make one I just don't know what I need.
Hmm, I just reblogged it from another site, but I think I can help you in terms of what to buy and how to do it. If you click the link, it’ll take you to the complete photo post that shows you what you need. In any event, here’s the list:
- Nail polish
- Floral wire, a thin bendable wire is ideal. 26 Gauge is fine.
- Floral Tape
- Wire cutters/scissors
- a pencil or cylindrical object to wrap the petals around
- Ribbon (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- First, you’re gonna need to make the crown. You can do this by using the wire you already have or you can use an old headband or anything that you like that resembles a headpiece. Thicker wire is also fine for this step.
As you can see, OP twisted two pieces of wire together and left loops at the end (to attach the ribbon). Then they covered it in brown floral tape.
- The second step is to make the flowers. Using your pencil/cylindrical object, twist the wire around it to create a ‘petal’. Repeat this until you have at least a couple of petals. 3-6 is usually fine, it’s really your call.
- SLIGHTLY bend the petals back to create a natural looking petal.
- After you are satisfied with the shape of your petals, cut out your flower, leaving some wire left to attach it to your crown.
- Repeat the first few steps and make the rest of your flowers.
- Take one of your flowers and CAREFULLY apply nail polish to it, one petal at a time. Think of it like making bubbles. It may be easier to pour the nail polish in a flat plate and dip it, or dip the entire flower into the polish.
Repeat this for all your remaining flowers.
- Twist the two ends of your flowers together to form a ‘stem’.
- Wrap the stems with floral tape, preferably with the same color you used in the base of the crown.
Repeat this for all your remaining flowers.
- The third step will be attaching the flowers to your crown. You can do this a few ways. One way is to wrap the stems around the crown. Another way is to just wrap the stems with floral tape as you go along, like the OP did.
Do this until all your flowers have been attached to your crown.
- At this point, you can tie the ribbons to the loops like OP did, or decorate it any other way you like. :)
Enjoy your new floral crown!
TIPS
- You can purchase most of the items in Walmart, Michael’s or any craft or flower store. You can also order it online. :)
- REMEMBER, this tutorial is just a guide. If you don’t want to use brown floral tape or if you prefer using the green floral wire, don’t be afraid to change it up. You can use any color or material your heart desires.
I’ll refer you to an ask where I gave a few tips. ASK by starry-ponds
And here are some completed flower crowns from some lovely tumblr users. :) Alyssa & Rebekka
And here is the original link to the post. It’s in Russian.
I also happened across a video that someone linked to in one of the reblogs of my post. It involves using glue as a base that helps make the process easier (and more durable).
Sorry for replying late. I hope this helps you with making your own crown. :)
gn-a:
Sak Yant or Yantra Tattooing are believed to give the wearer magic powers associated with healing, luck, strength, and protection against evil.
You can get these here in thailand by a monk, they look beautiful but I’d never recommend it. Essentially, you’re making a pact with a spirit to protect you in exchange for sacrificing an activity or habit you may have previously enjoyed (the monk decides what this is, not you). These tattoos are contracts.
Breaking your side of the bargain may encourage the spirit to ‘punish’ you, and these contracts are not easily voided.

heyo!
don’t worry, your english turned out fine, dude.as a foreword of warning,
it is best that you don’t use this post as a standalone tutorial,
instead, try to use it as a study aid to help you make sense of real-life references.
(same applies for any decent “art tutorial” out there, really. :p)bolded numbers correspond to the numbers on this post’s pictures.

ANATOMY TIPS
I was doing a bit of an anatomy study on my livestream and was asked to please post it.
- The crotch is the halfway point of the body from top of the head to bottom of the feet
- Shoulders to hips = hips to ankles
- Elbows rest at the waist line
- Wrists rest at the crotch line
- Shoulders and breasts/pecks should always be parallel, no matter what angle the shoulders are at
- With boob placement, keep in mind where the collar bone, ribs, and shoulders are. Breats have muscles that connect to the arm—hence why lifting an arm also lifts the breast corresponding with it.
- Feet are the same length as your elbow to wrist.
- There are two bones in the knee; the cap and a smaller one below it. You CAN see them and adding that subtle detail is a really nice touch!
- When drawing eyes, keep in mind that you should be able to fit the width of an eye between them
- The face is broken down into thirds; hairline to eyebrows, eyebrows to bottom of the nose, bottom of the nose to chin
- The halfway point of the head is at the eyeline
- The mouth is 1/3rd of the way from the bottom of the nose to the chin
- Ears are from the top of the eyes to the bottom of the nose
- When drawing a 3/4th view of the face, do NOT MAKE THE FURTHEST EYE SMALLER — the perspective is too small to be noticeable unless you are doing extremely accentuated/warped perspective. The eyebrows, top of the eyes, and bottom of the eyes should all be parallel regardless of the face’s angle. The only differences should be the widths; front eye should be wider than the further eye.
Knowing the rules to anatomy is important! Once you learn them, then you can break them. ( ≖‿≖)*
Here’s a nifty chart for the next time your faceless character needs a nose!
Here’s a handy dandy color reference chart for you artists, writers, or any one else who needs it! Inspired by this post x
for all those drawings on paper that you’d really like to paint over digitally but don’t have a scanner/camera on hand
